How to Survive the Impossible:  Crazy Human Survival Stories

Have you ever wondered what are some of the most unbelievable stories of human survival? How did some people manage to live through the most extreme situations, such as plane crashes, shark attacks, wars, diseases, and natural disasters? In this article, we will explore some of the craziest things a human has survived and learn about their amazing courage, resilience, and luck. You won’t believe what these survivors went through and how they made it out alive. Let’s get started!

Willie Francis

In 1947, seventeen-year-old Willie Francis was executed by electric chair in America. He did not die, however, instead screaming: “Take it off! Take it off! Let me breathe!” when the hood was placed on him and the current turned on.craziest thing

Willie Francis’ initial confession to the murder that placed him on the chair was dubious, to say the least. The teenager was reported to have confessed to the crime of shooting a grocer. Later, he recanted the confession. His initial confession had been in written form: “It was a secret about me and him.” This was believed to refer to something the victim had done to him — rumors around town were, that the man had molested Francis and other young local youths.

Regardless of the circumstances of the crime and the botched execution attempt, caused by a drunk guard improperly setting up the chair… Willie Francis’ appeal was denied. He was executed the following year, aged 18.

A Women Who Fell Out Of a Plane with No Parachute, And Survived

Christine McKenzie of South Africa was what you would call, a veteran skydiver. She was on her 112th jump, and at that point, felt invincible!

What could go wrong after doing it so many times? Well, as she was descending, she went to pull the chute, as she had done 111 times prior. To her horror, nothing happened. But, that’s ok! She always had a backup chute, just as any skydiver should. So, she pulls it. And guess what? Nothing happened.

She was now plummeting 2,000 feet, and could only see the power lines approaching her. Seems like a recipe for a brutal death, right? Turns out the power lines that could have potentially electrocuted her and sealed her fate, actually, in a seemingly miraculous event, softened her fall without electrocuting her.

Her jump buddies, to their shock, found her on the ground, cracking jokes, and mildly complaining about achy bones.

Mike Day

How about Mike Day? The Navy SEAL who was shot 27 times and lived.

His body armor blocked 11 of the bullets. So if we want to be sticklers, we can lower the official count to 16, so be it. We are still talking about a man who survived 16 bullets going through his body. However, I still think he gets credit for all the bullets.

And even if he doesn’t, he still has all those gangster rappers, who brag about surviving being shot, and beat by at least 10 bullets.

After the shots, a grenade exploded 10 feet away from him. He was knocked unconscious, and right after he woke up, he killed 2 of the 4 terrorists. He then walked himself to the nearest medical helicopter. Mike Day is one tough dude.

Alison Botha

An amazing woman from my country South Africa by the name of Alison Botha showed spectacular courage and a sheer will to live through one of the most horrific attacks to have ever taken place.

Alison Botha was stabbed and left for dead in the Summer of 1994 outside of Port Elizabeth in South Africa. Alison wrote a book called ‘I Have Life’ and a movie about her life was also released. This is her account :

She said the evening when she was raped and left for dead was full of miracles that saved her life. She was 27 when it happened. Alison pulled up in the driveway of her house and was looking for something in her car when a man appeared next to her window with a knife and ordered her to move over to the passenger seat.Alison Botha who survived
He started driving and stopped to pick up his friend. They both then took her to a secluded bush area on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth.
One of the men, Frans du Toit , was 26 at the time and out on parole for raping a pregnant girl and a 19-year-old student. After the attack, they left Alison for dead.

Ron Hunt  a Construction worker

Just gonna start this with a picture. Nothing gory but may still make you cringe.

Ron Hunt was a construction worker

Ron Hunt was a construction worker who was drilling on a ladder over his head. He started to fall and tried to throw the drill away but didn’t throw it far enough and the 1.5-inch diameter, 18-inch long drill bit went into his eye and straight through his skull. Doctors were going to cut it out but decided to just unscrew it from his head. The bit essentially pushed aside his brain matter instead of impaling it so he suffered no major permanent damage, other than the loss of an eye and a fractured skull. I’d say that was a pretty miraculous survival story

Juliane Koepcke  Amazing Survival Story

He had multiple facets to it. While on a flight, Juliane’s plane was stuck by lightning, which caused the plane to disintegrate in midair. Somehow Juliane, who was still strapped in her seat, survived this initial strike. She was injured for sure; she had bruises, cuts, and a broken collarbone.“

“The only food that she had to eat was a small amount of candy. Fortunately, she was able to find water so that she could stay hydrated.“

she barely managed to escape alive by finding some sort of shelter in an encampment where she was found by some local workers who were able to help her with first aid and taking her to a hospital

How Jacklyn Survived

Jacklyn was a boy with a girl’s name. He hated it and fought anyone who called him that. And he wanted to be called Jack. He was in school at a place where they taught soldiers when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. This made him very angry and he wanted to fight Japan. Also, he lied about his age and signed up for the Marine Corps.

He went to Parris Island and became a Marine on his 14th birthday. He wanted to fight, but they gave him a boring job at Parris Island. So he ran away and got to Pearl Harbor. He told someone that he was supposed to go to the war. They made him a truck driver there and that made him more angry because he wanted to kill enemies. And he hid on a ship and ate little food until they got to Iwo Jima.
